Monday and Tuesday of this week, I was in the Paltalk room called "Dogmatic Reformed Theology." On Monday i was asked to be an Admin, and I agreed. After I got in to the room on Monday, I saw the link to Matt Slick's website dealing with his alleged misrepresentation. That was not my reason for being in the room, and there was no discussion about it, so I didn't think anymore about it. On Tuesday, when I first went into the room, either the link was not in the banner and added later or I just didn't notice it at first. I don't claim to be the brightest bulb on the Christmas tree ;- ). It did not occur to me until I talked to someone who told me so, that my being in that room, especially as an Admin could be viewed as my support and agreement for the alleged misrepresentation of Matt Slick's comments. Let me say again that I have not taken any sides in this, and I'm more concerned about how it is being handled as I mentioned in my last post. But I do apologize for my boneheadedness of not thinking it out that it could be construed as me agreeing with allegation of misrepresentation. I immediately left that Paltalk room, and briefly told them why.

What is all this about? This is still about how we treat one another. Whether in person, on the phone, by e-mail, instant messenger, discussion boards, or chat rooms, we're still supposed to treat one another the way the word of God says. We will disagree on things. We should earnestly contend for the faith. But we should do it lovingly with respect for those who are also created in the image of God. Have I done this perfectly? NO WAY!. May we all examine ourselves in the light of Christ and His word. I leave us with some passages of Scripture for our consideration. Indeed, they are still there, and just as important as out blessed doctrines of sovereign grace:
Mat 5:9 "Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God.
Rom 12:18 If possible, so far as it depends on you, be at peace with all men.
Eph 4:1-3 Therefore I, the prisoner of the Lord, implore you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling with which you have been called, with all humility and gentleness, with patience, showing tolerance for one another in love, being diligent to preserve the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.
Col 3:12-14 So, as those who have been chosen of God, holy and beloved, put on a heart of compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience; bearing with one another, and forgiving each other, whoever has a complaint against anyone; just as the Lord forgave you, so also should you. Beyond all these things put on love, which is the perfect bond of unity.
Eph 4:31-32 Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor and slander be put away from you, along with all malice. Be kind to one another, tender-hearted, forgiving each other, just as God in Christ also has forgiven you.
1Pet 3:8-9 To sum up, all of you be harmonious, sympathetic, brotherly, kindhearted, and humble in spirit; not returning evil for evil or insult for insult, but giving a blessing instead; for you were called for the very purpose that you might inherit a blessing.
Eph 4:15 But speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in all aspects into Him who is the head, even Christ.
